The population in Australia grows up speedily. The Australian Bureau of Statistics predicts that it will overtake twenty-three million recently. It increases 1.7% every year which means one thousand and forty-eight people are increased every day. The number is higher than that in American (0.9%), England (0.6%) and even India (1.4%) , a county that is always has huge population increase. The oversea immigrant is the major reason for the increase which takes sixty percent of all in the last year even the birth rate is decreased forty percent.

澳洲人口增长快速，澳洲统计局预测近期人口可望超过2300万人。澳洲人口每年增加1.7%，每天增加1048人，高于美国（0.9%）与英国（0.6%），甚至超过传统的人口增长大国印度（1.4%）。海外移民是澳洲人口增长的主因。在去年增加的人口中，澳洲移民净额占了6成，出生率下降到4成。
